Sky Feliz, the stage name of Sky Feliz Lemmer, is a British-Surinamese-Dutch singer, songwriter and multidisciplinary performer from The Hague. Blending alternative R&B, soul, pop and house, she creates music that explores the complexities of intimacy, relationships, desire and self-discovery. With a distinctive vocal style and a strong visual identity, Sky Feliz approaches music as a complete artistic experience, bringing together sound, movement, fashion and storytelling.
Sky began attracting attention with her early releases, including “HIGH”, which introduced listeners to her experimental approach to contemporary R&B. In October 2023, she released her seven-track debut EP “Patience”, a project that moves between soulful ballads, alternative R&B, hip-hop influences and upbeat house production. The EP received radio support, including airplay on NPO Radio 2's Soul & Jazz, and earned playlist placements on platforms including New Music Friday and EQUAL. That same year, she was selected for PAARD's Powered By PAARD development programme, which culminated in a special vinyl release featuring her song “The Middle”. She was also selected as a Popronde talent in 2024.
Musically, Sky Feliz draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Summer Walker, Kehlani, FKA twigs, Kelela, Mariah Carey, Sade and Whitney Houston. Her sound combines the warmth and expressive vocal techniques of classic R&B and soul with experimental electronic production influenced by artists such as Flume and James Blake. The result is a blend of sensual melodies, atmospheric textures, deep grooves and unexpected rhythmic shifts. Her songwriting explores emotions that can be difficult to express, often approaching familiar subjects from provocative, playful or unconventional perspectives.
Sky's artistic identity extends beyond singing and songwriting. With a background in music production, theatre and dance, she is closely involved in shaping the visual and performative elements of her work. Her music videos, styling and choreography are designed to complement the atmosphere of her songs, creating a world that feels as distinctive visually as it does sonically. On stage, she combines expressive vocals with a confident physical presence, moving between intimate moments and more energetic performances.
