ZYHH is an emerging Dutch R&B artist, singer-songwriter, and multidisciplinary creative whose music combines emotional honesty, rich vocal harmonies, and contemporary soul into a sound that is both intimate and forward-looking. Formerly performing under the name Lizzy, she entered a new artistic chapter in 2026 with a complete rebrand to ZYHH, embracing a creative identity that reflects her growth as both an artist and storyteller. Through music, visuals, and performance, she creates immersive worlds that explore themes of identity, vulnerability, growing up, and emotional resilience.
From an early age, music and performance played a central role in her life. Beginning as a theatre performer before joining a pop-rock band, she gradually discovered her passion for R&B and neo-soul, drawing inspiration from artists such as SZA, H.E.R., Jhené Aiko, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill. These influences encouraged her to develop a sound rooted in authenticity rather than trends, allowing her songwriting to evolve into a deeply personal form of expression. Rather than writing for a specific market, ZYHH creates music with an international audience in mind, blending modern R&B with timeless storytelling and cinematic production.
After being discovered on Instagram by Dutch television personality Chantal Janzen at the age of sixteen, she was invited to perform at the launch of Janzen’s lifestyle platform &C. This early recognition marked the beginning of an artistic journey that continued with her acceptance into the Herman Brood Academy in 2018, where she further refined her songwriting, vocal abilities, and artistic vision. Alongside developing her own catalogue, she also began writing for other artists and contributing lyrics to Dutch musical theatre productions, demonstrating her versatility as both a performer and songwriter.
Throughout her career, ZYHH has steadily built an impressive body of work. Her debut single Coming ’n Goin introduced listeners to her distinctive songwriting during 2020, followed by her debut album SEVENSTAGES, a conceptual project accompanied by a Fund for the Performing Arts-supported short film that expanded her storytelling beyond music alone. Since 2022, she has continued releasing a series of carefully crafted singles through Vokall, collaborating with producers including Mitchell Yard, Timtimma, and OC34N, while also working with German singer-songwriter and guitarist Flo Naegeli and Dutch artist Maydien. Every release has reflected her commitment to artistic growth while remaining true to the emotional core of her music.
A defining characteristic of ZYHH’s artistry is her dedication to building complete creative worlds around her songs. Working primarily from her DIY home studio, with regular sessions at Wisseloord Studios, she develops music that merges layered harmonies, honest lyricism, visual storytelling, and performance into a cohesive artistic vision. In 2026, this vision enters a significant new phase with the release of a two-part debut EP under the name ZYHH, marking the beginning of an exciting new era that fully embraces her identity as a multidisciplinary artist.
Since joining Vokall in 2022, ZYHH has become an important part of the label's growing catalogue of contemporary songwriting and artist development. Together, they have steadily expanded her repertoire through a series of singles that showcase her evolving sound and creative ambition. Her forthcoming debut EP, scheduled for release later in 2026 through Vokall, represents an important milestone in her artistic journey and reflects years of growth, experimentation, and dedication to creating music with lasting emotional impact.
